I had an amazing stay at a hostel in the perfect location. Everything was within walking distance, from popular attractions to public transport. the staff were approachable and helpful, providing us with a map and recommendations upon arrival. the bar downstairs was a great place to socialize, with plenty of space and natural light coming in. the hostel itself was clean and the beds offered privacy with curtains. the spacious kitchen was an added bonus, and the security system using a numeral code made it convenient to access the rooms. I would definitely choose to stay here again. Cons: Everything about my stay was great! 😄.

The location of the hostel was fantastic, with easy access to public transportation and a vibrant restaurant scene nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay, making me feel welcome and ensuring a comfortable experience. The private rooms were clean and well-designed, with thoughtful touches like curtains on the bunk beds for added privacy. The showers and toilets were also kept clean, and the wifi connection was reliable.
The lack of organization in the social kitchen. It seemed like many items in the fridges were left behind by previous guests, creating a messy and confusing environment.

Friendly staff and fast processing in a good located hostel which is only a few months old. The guy who is running the bar is a funny one, we got our small beer for free as he was sorry to see a german "only" drinking water beside a small beer :). We had a room for two which was quite plain and clean - price-performance ratio is fair. I can recommend that hostel.
Possible Improvements: in the kitchen there is super small electric kettle. No chairs and hucks in the room.

Marathon Hostel provided great value for money with spacious rooms, helpful staff, and a central location. The beds were comfortable, and the curtains added a nice touch of privacy. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the bar downstairs offered discounts to hostel guests. The use of pin codes instead of keys was convenient, and the hostel had a simple gym to use.
The breakfast option could be improved by providing hand driers or hand towels in the bathroom. it would have been better if housekeeping had given a warning before entering the rooms each morning.

We had a great stay at Marathon! The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city center. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially the guy with tattoos who was super cool. The beds were comfortable and I liked that there were two lockers for each guest. The hostel was clean and well-maintained, with a nice bar, restaurant, and lounge area on the ground floor. The bed had its own light and socket, convenient. I had a positive experience at Marathon.
There were a couple of drawbacks. The pin codes to enter the room were a bit cumbersome, and some people seemed to struggle with them.

The staff were approachable and helpful, and they even gave me a map and showed me the best places to visit upon arrival. The bar staff were amazing, and the food at the bar was surprisingly affordable for dinner options. The hostel was super clean and the facilities were kept very clean.

The staff was friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. I loved the separate WC and shower in the room, providing extra convenience. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped. The bar downstairs was a great place to socialize and enjoy a drink. I highly recommend this hostel for its great location, friendly staff, and comfortable accommodations.
One minor drawback was the lack of hooks and hangers for clothing in the room. the access code system for the room, hostel, and bathroom was a bit inconvenient.

Clean, private toilet and shower facilities in each dorm room. Central location in the heart of the city. Convenient on-site bar with affordable prices.
The bed and pillow felt damp and uncomfortable. the AC was cold but the thin blanket provided was insufficient.

Marathon Hostel was a great choice for my recent stay in Genoa. The location was perfect, right in the city center. The hostel was clean and well-designed, with comfortable bunk beds that had curtains for added privacy. Each dorm room had its own private toilet and bathroom, which was convenient. I also appreciated the secure lockers provided for each bed, although they could have been a bit bigger. The hostel had a cozy beer and snack bar with reasonable prices. I had a positive experience at Marathon Hostel and would recommend it.
I did notice a few minor drawbacks during my stay. The kitchen was small and lacked some essential items like a larger electric kettle and chairs.
